Municipal Applications - Monthly Job, February 2005
Job:
Godwin Pumps' Milwaukee, Wisconsin distributor recently rented four 12-inch automatic self-priming Dri-Prime pumps for a fresh water pipeline pigging application. Flows of 12,000 to 20,000 gpm were required to push the pig through Lake Winnebago's recently installed 60" diameter intake pipes. The newly installed pipes supply fresh water from Lake Winnebago to the city of Oshkosh, WI. Pigging was required to flush out any debris that may have settled during the installation of the new piping system.
